I'm in Love with Glass Straws!

I LOVE Straws!!! I'm not even gonna lie... I need straws and I don't want to drink anything without a straw. Obviously, I'm obsessed with straws. Up until recently, I knew of two types of straws: plastic straws and the cardboard/paper straws they serve at Ted's Montana Grill. Both of which are disposable and only good for one use. Once I became a Pinterest Fanatic, I learned there were really cute decorative paper straws out there, but again - these are disposable and only good for one use. Although these are super cute, unless you are throwing a party, these are pricey and not practical. Then my sweet friend Sara told me about Glass Straws. Glass Straws had never crossed my mind and I couldn't wait to try them out.

I was so excited with the terrific assortment of straws I received from I got a straw for shorter glasses, a bent straw for very tall glasses, a standard size straw and a wider straw for smoothies. After I finished gushing over them, I simply placed them in the dishwasher to prepare them for use. Yes, the dishwasher! I am so thrilled that these are reusable and incredibly easy to clean.

My favorite is a long large bent straw which is perfect for my tall glass cups. It has adorable colored glass dot designs. I love how smoothly my liquid flows and I genuinely prefer the texture over plastic straws.

My handsome son fell in love with the really unique straw with blue colored reinforced tips. It is a standard size straw and fits perfectly into our average size glasses. He enjoyed making slurping noises and banging the glass straw into the glass which drove me crazy. His reply: "Mom, I was helping you fully evaluate it." *Sigh* How do you argue with that face? Bottom line: I was happy to see him enjoying it.

I am genuinely addicted to Coke Zero and Diet Dr. Pepper. The only thing I like better than these plain is Coke Zero and Diet Dr. Pepper with Grenadine! There's nothing better than a freshly made Coke with Cherry Syrup. The short glass straw was just perfect for mixing up and serving my Coke Zero with Grenadine. Yum!!!

I am really excited to put my smoothie glass straw to use, too. I have no doubt that it will be just as fabulous as all the rest.

I'd like to share are a few facts about PLASTIC straws:
  • Plastic Straws can not be recycled.
  • They are meant for one use.
  • Most Plastic Straws contain BPA.
  • You can't put them in the dishwasher.

Here are some facts about the GLASS straws from
  • Glass Straws are reusable!
  • They can be used in the Dishwasher and Microwave.
  • They are hypoallergenic and 100% non toxic.
  • You can use them in drinks of any temperature.
  • You only have to make one investment.

There's truly no comparison, Glass Straws are the way to go! I couldn't be happier that I never have to buy straws again. If you are ready to make a small one time investment for glass straws, then I highly recommend visiting
